Fishing

As far back as I can remember, fishing has always been a part of our family.  My Dad loved to fish so growing up I spent many a day with a fishing rod in hand.  I miss those times with my Dad---those times when my Mom would pack a picnic basket full of chicken and potato salad and we would all have dinner on the shore of the lake.
Today warmed my heart.  As I watched my son--using my Dad's fishing rod-- teach Drew's tiny hands how to fish....

At the very lake I fished with my Dad when I was a little girl......

This was the sweetest day.......

In more ways than one    :)

A Month in Photos.....

Sometimes life spins by so fast minutes turn into hours--hours into days and before you know it days into months.  Before I let too much time pass I wanted to check in with you all this morning and share with you what I have been up to.  If I shared it all with words however,  we could be here forever :)  so I thought I would share my past month with you in photos........

Fisher Price Fun

My sister, Andrea and her family live about 2 hours north of me in the little town of Brookville.  It has been some time since I have been to visit so my mom and I decided to take a little trip this weekend---  just in time  for the local flea market.  The flea market is located in the town of Hazen which is only about 15 minutes from my sisters home.  We woke early Saturday morning and headed out to begin our adventure.
The flea market was so much fun as we searched for all of those hidden treasures.  I was thrilled to find this pretty little tiara for just one dollar.
I know I know it is missing a little piece at the top but I think it adds to it's charm.  Perfect for an "almost princess"
After all the flea market treasure hunting, Andrea took us to a little shop in town called Cashs Collectibles---another place perfect for treasure hunting.  For some time now I have admired vintage Fisher Price toys.  It brings back memories of my childhood.  Just look what I found at Cashs........

The Milk Truck with all the milk bottles.

The ferris wheel with a working music box!

look at that crabby face---I do wish he were a little happier :)

and this sweet little lunch box

OHHHHH they look so cute all together on the shelf in my sewing room.......

We all had such a fun day treasure hunting and spending time with eachother.  Andrea even took us to the local quilt/fabric shop.  But that is a post for another day..........
