In honor of the "Back to School" week I wanted to share with you a few projects I completed for my little shop at SweetPeas. I had such fun creating this vintage inspired scrapbook. I am drawn to this style of scrapbooking and was happy with the end result.
I was thrilled to find a large box of Anagram letters for only one dollar at the flea market. I knew just what I would use them for. The little ruler at the edge of the cover was another great find in a local "junk" store. I wish they would have had more of these little cuties. I scanned the school bus image from a vintage children's book I found buried in a box under a table at the flea market.
Just for fun I am ending this post with a picture of Alex on his very first day of Kindergarden. What was his mother thinking with that outfit (LOL)---maybe it's not totally the outfit. Maybe it is the way I helped him tuck in his shirt into his shorts---just where does his waist begin.

This summer did fly by way to fast! I love your little school book-someone will be lucky to get it. Stples always has the best commercials..there are several funny ones this year! Oh, and the picture....nice shorts! Yikes! xoxo
Life is going by waaay too fast. Love your scrapbook. You are too talented. If your son ever needs counseling it may be because of that picture;). Mimi
It's so nice to see you were able to get some time to yourself and your crafting. Hope all continues to go well. Love ya!
Your scrapbook is wonderful! I love the pic of the little school bus! All of your finds are perfect for it!
Oh my goodness!! I just love the picture of your son!! We don't go back to school until after Labor Day this year. I don't ever remember going back so late. I think it cuts into one of the boys' other vacations during the school year so it evens itself out. Your pictures today were just beautiful!! Have a wonderful weekend!! : )

Mimi, I was THRILLED to see that you had left comment on my recent post and that you have posted a few times recently too. I am not on blogger nearly as much as I used to be, due to a hectic and busy summer, so I know that I have missed out on some good posts from many of my friends. Your two most recently are really nice. Love the scrapbook, the ruler on the edge is the perfect little touch!! You are so creative. As for the school picture of Alex, it is golden!! Makes me think of the ones of my own kids, and the outfits that I sent them in. A couple of funny ones are in the bunch too. :-) My own kids are back to school for about 2 weeks now, the hectic and stress has already set in. Had to even go to school to make a complaint of a teacher's methods of disciplining the kids who forget things. Here we go, in for another year of mental torture due to teachers like that. Ugh. I hope that all is well with your hubby-dearest!! I look forward to more of your posts, and your visits with me, and I will do the same. Promise!! Debby
