It's Beginning To Look Alot Like Christmas

Usually on the day after Thanksgiving my mom, Heidi and I wake up early and go on the hunt for all the wonderful "Black Friday" deals.  This year however Heidi was out of town and my mom was visiting my sister who lives about two hours away.  During Thanksgiving dinner, I happened to mention how I was on my own this year when my husband surprisingly said he might want to come along. My response... "Really!! you want to wake up at 5:00am, fight the crowds, in the rain and go shopping with me!!"  Well I thought, this might be fun.  We had talked about purchasing an artificial tree this year and there were so  many GREAT deals out there.  So the plan was set.  I don't want to say we didn't have fun, but I don't think Alex will be coming along next year.  After going to four stores and unsuccessfully finding the perfect tree,  he was ready to go home.  I of course was just getting started.  With a promise of one last store we finally did it...we found the perfect tree.  I don't think Alex was ever so happy to be headed home.  The tree went up with ease and we were all in the Christmas spirit.

With my beautiful new tree up and twinkling, I was ready to decorate the rest of the house.  I'll just share a few photos with you so that you can experience Christmas at my house.

I hope you enjoyed my little tour.  I have a few more finishing touches to add so stop back soon for a little visit.

It IS beginning to look alot like Christmas at your house. LOVE your decorations, Mimi, especially on the mantel with all its white, and that sled outside your door! Very pretty. Our lights are up on the outside of the house, but the inside does not have a thing yet, other then the traditional Advent wreath so well known here in Germany, counting down the 4 last weeks before Xmas and a candle being lit each Sunday from now on. I simply must get out my decorations and get this house looking a bit more Xmas-y. Hope all is well there with you. Sounds like it is!! hugs from here, Debby

Everything looks so beautiful at your house, Mimi!! I love how your fence looks!! I have a white picket fence and I love to decorate it each year. I also LOVE your little silver tree and its vintage ornaments!! Your Christmas tree came out so beautifully, too. We are going to get ours this weekend. You've motivated me to get decorating!! : )

Your house is looking pretty cute and Christmasy. I know what you're talking about with the honey wanting to shop. Mine tried it a few years ago and once was enough for him too. Wimpy guy. Mimi
