Birthday Card Bash Challenge

I really didn't plan on posting another card so soon but when I read Nichole Heady's blog post today I just could not help myself.  Nichole is the owner of Papertrey Ink, the on-line stamp company that I have been addicted to lately.  Papertrey Ink is celebrating their third birthday with lots of fun challenges and prizes.  Today Nichole introduced us to the 2010 Stamp Designers and offered a fun challenge.  Each member of the design team created a birthday image for us to download.  The challenge----to print and use one of the downloads in a homemade birthday card wishing them a HAPPY BIRTHDAY.  How exciting.  I didn't even eat breakfast.  I quickly visited each designer and picked the download offered by Heather Nichols from Pinefeather Press.  A sweet little cupcake in one of my favorite color combinations--brown and turquoise.
Just by accident when I was trying to size this little image, I discovered that I could print it in graduating sizes in the amount of three--perfect for a third birthday :)
I then cut the image out using my circle Nestabilities.  The colors in this little image matched perfectly to the patterened paper from another of my favorite company's--October Afternoon.  I added a few more embelishments, ribbon, and stitches and there you have it.....HAPPY 3rd BIRTHDAY Papertrey Ink!!!!

I found your blog via PTI and I really enjoyed the visit. Love the fam photos, the yummy cake, the great papercrafts, your great outlook on life. BUT, when it comes to deer, let me tell you, here in NJ we do not welcome their visits. They have murdered my shrubs, eaten my azaleas, devoured my perennials and my hosta didn't have a chance. So, go ahead and enjoy them in PA, and invite their NJ relatives to come too!!!! Sharon D'Amico

Mimi, I love it when you share your crafts with us, you have such a wonderful eye for color!! Some people like color, but don't always know how to use it. :-) But your cards and books and notes are always a delight to the eye! I like this birthday card, but I am in love with the Easter card of the previous post. THAT is a card for me, all done in pink with a bunny-bear on it! Adorable.

glad you liked the pics of my new baby chick. I definitely am in love with them both and wish that I could bring them into the house to watch them all day long!

hugs, Debby
