It's Rednesday

One of the great things about the blogging community is the fun and clever way bloggers invite you to visit their  blogs and introduce you to other blogs of similar interest.  One such blogger is Sue from It's A Very Cheery World.  She declares every Wednesday to be REDnesday and invites you to share something red on your blog.  When you add your blog link to the list on her blog,  you invite fellow bloggers to stop by for a visit.   You can then visit the others who are participating.  I love the color red so I thought I would play along today.  If you have a minute hop on over to her blog and visit the others on the list.(just click on the highlighted name above)   It is fun to see all the red items that everyone collects.  I will share a couple of my favorite red items today and save the rest so that I can play again next Wednesday :)
First I will share these fun little game pieces that spell my name.  I participated in a swap a few months back and they were part of my swap treasures---I love them!!
My kitchen colors are yellow, red, and black so I have alot of fun red accessories--most of them vintage :)  One of my favorites are theses sweet little spice jars.  I love their cheerful red lids and the vintage labels on the back giving suggestions on how to use each spice.
Oh this is fun I could go on forever.  The last red item I will share today is this fun strawberry breadbox.  I purchased this from a neighbor who was moving and having an estate sale.  I was thrilled to have found it and it looks great displayed on top of my hoosier  cabinet in the kitchen.  Whenever I see it I am reminded of her friendship and it brings a smile to my day.

I hope you have enjoyed seeing some of my favorite red items.  Thanks for stopping by and I hope that you will stop by again for a visit. HAPPY REDNESDAY!!!

Love your red. I am such a red fan. The spice jars are incredible and the breadbox is wonderful. Keep in under lock and key because I want it and if I ever figure out where you live I just might help myself.

What great red items you have; I can see why they would be among your favorites! My Grandfathers kitchen had those exact spice jars--I remember reading the back of them because when I was a kid, if it wasn't ketchup, I didn't know what it was for! :-)

I love your reds today, and now I want to look through your blog for a picture of your kitchen! Love the spice jars. I finally got some last summer at a garage sale. They had been on my must-have list forever! And I adore that breadbox too. We like the same things!
Happy REDnesday!

Great post! Love the game pieces and breadbox. Now the spice jars got me really excited. You see, I have a 12 piece set with the rack but NO LABELS. I have seen the labels before and I am currently working on making replacements. I hope the look at least close......I hope to post them on Rednesday soon.

Hi Mimi, well it is no longer Wednesday but I very much enjoyed reading your post on this sunny Thurs. here in our area! What pretty red items you chose, loved the strawberry graphics! Those red lidded spice bottles much really cheer up your kitchen. I have never seen anything so cute. Mine are just the plain spice bottles you buy at the grocery store. :-) What a fun thing to get involved in, REDnesday. I will have to jump on over to the other blogs and see what they have posted! hugs, Debby p.s. love the new header picture of you and your guys!! Very nice.
