**The good news----Alex's team again wrestled to victory winning the title of District Champs!!!!!
***The bad news---Alex suffered a match ending knee injury. His knee became completely dislocated. As Alex(SR) and I watched from the stands our hearts just stopped. It was so difficult watching our son in so much pain. The initial trip to the ER indicated that there was not any bone damage but we will have to wait until Monday to visit the orthopeadic surgeon. We are praying this is not a season ending injury. He says it is feeling much better and is even hobbling around with only his immobilizer--he has decided "no crutches necessary" I will keep you posted.........
******UPDATE******
After a visit to the orthopeadic surgeon this morning, it was decided that there would be NO need for surgery. He ordered intense physical therapy for 3-4 weeks and then he will reassess Alex's knee to determine if he will be able to wrestle again this season. He seemed really hopefull which made Alex very happy. Thanks for all your good wishes and prayers!!!!!!

Oh no. Sorry to hear about your son's injury. How horrible. I can only hope he is not in too much pain, and recovery comes soon. Your right, the father and son photo is lovely.

I agree, it's a great picture of your husand and son! I'm just sorry the ending of your evening ended in an injury...I hope he's okay and will just need to take it easy for now.
This is a wonderful picture of father and son. I love the intense look on Alex's face. You might have to frame this one. The injury is why grandma can't watch Alex wrestle (football okay because its a team sport). Will be praying for Alex.

Alex Jr and my husband should get together--we have the "No crutches"
ban here too. Ken is doing better but he wishes it would all go away as I'm sure you son would.
Good Luck!

I love the look on Alex's face as he listens to his Dad. Tell Mr. Alex, I didn't even recognize him from the back...I thought it was a coach when I fist looked at the picture. He's looking better all the time! Hope all goes well at the Dr's tomorrow!

Oh my goodness!! I hope your son is okay, Mimi!! Our two sons are so much alike. They both play football and they're both built like big teddy bears. :) My son is also involved with wrestling this season but he's the official scorekeeper for our team so at least I don't have to worry about him getting any wrestling injuries. Take care and God bless.

Congrats on your son's team winning, and I'm sorry to hear about his knee, ouch! My husband wrestled and I am sure my son will someday if my husband has anything to do with it, it is physically demanding! It is so hard for us mommas to watch injuries from the sidelines, my oldest has had quite a few on the soccer field and has been taken via ambulance twice now, it is heart wrenching! I'm sure with a momma like you he will be feeling better in no time!
Congrats to your son's team winning. I am sorry about your son's injury. I know about watching from the sidelines when a child gets hurt. One of my boys played football and the other was into track and horses. You will always treasure the pictures of father and son especially when they don't realize you are taking their pictures. I hope your son can still compete this close to the end of the season I bet. Take care
I love that you share pictures of your hubby and son with us all, as well as the dogs from last week's Picture. So sorry to hear about the knee injury. Being a sufferer of knee troubles, I know how much pain they can cause. i will think lots of positive thoughts that all is okay with Alex's knee with no later problems.
That is a great father-son picture, so sorry about the injury, though. Prayers for a good doctor visit and speedy recovery!
Congrats to Alex on the big win but sorry to hear of his injury. Believe me I've had my share of kid injuries and ER visits. He will be in my thoughts to get well soon.
So glad to hear the no surgery news. It's so hard to watch your kids suffer. I'd so rather have things happen to me than them. Love the picture. A good one to frame. Mimi
