It's Wednesday---you know what that means----time for another Rednesday post. It is amazing how many red things I am finding around my house. I have been having such fun sharing them with you all. I even find myself thinking about it during the week. I see something fun and red and I think to myself "Oh that would be a great thing to share on Rednesday" I am not sure what that says about me---maybe I have a sickness (lol) Oh well here are my red treasures for today.....
I can always count on my friend Joyce to come along with me on an afternoon of treasure hunting. We decided to visit our local antique store on Friday. I think I may have actually squealed with delight upon finding this treasure. What could be better than a red polka dot apron. This was a definite keeper.
After doing a little more searching I came across this little beauty. It was a little out of my price range but it was still fun to take a picture of. Can you see that wonderful red Coke sign tucked into the corner.....
We had such fun--laughing, treasure hunting and just enjoying each other's friendship.
My next red item was purchased this weekend as well. There is nothing like a Saturday trip to the Strip District. I have posted about this Pittsburgh treasure several times before. The name is silly and may give you the wrong idea(hehehe) but for those of you familiar with Pittsburgh, you know that this is an area just east of the city known for it's wholesalers, restaurants and fun funky shops. There are so many ethnic groups represented in the Strip and the street vendors are plenty as well selling everything from food to T-Shirts. After eating breakfast, Alex and I did a little shopping. Being that it is the Spring season, the artist market was open. I was quickly drawn to the table selling the most adorable things from felted wool. The artist visits flea markets and Good Will shops in search of wool sweaters and turns them into items such as these...
Thanks for visiting me today on this Rednesday. I hope you enjoyed my red. Don't forget to visit It's a Cherry World to check out the all the other wonderful contributions.
Well tomorrow is the Papertrey Ink's monthly blog hop. The challenge this month is all about buttons. My favorite. I have not even begun to complete my project so I am off to create. I would love for you to visit again tomorrow to see what I come up with. Unitl then...
Happy Rednesday :)

i just loved 'redding' your blog!
the little red bird is absolutely
adorable!
I love that polka dot apron! And I had a little car like that when I was little. Sure wish I had it now! The Strip sounds like a wonderful place to spend the day, and it seems that you can find just about anything there. That felted bird is so sweet, and I've always wanted to try felting. It's on my list of about 100 other things I'd like to try!
Happy REDnesday!

Nothing wrong with you but I do agree with you that it is a sickness!!! Every time I see something red(rednesday), pink( Pink Saturday) or Blue(Blue Monday), whether it is in my own home, or out, I am thinking of what to blog about it!!
Love the apron and lucky you living where there is such a cool place to shop close to you! Hubby wants to go to Pittsburgh to see the Penguins play someday, I will have to remember to look for this shopping mecca!

It sounds like you had a "reddy nice and enjoyable day!" And the shops look and sound like they are filled with lots of fun treasures that need a home!! :-)
Isn't it fun to go shopping like that with a friend? Those little birds are so cute!
Oh, and I love the red illustrations from your Betty Crocker cookbook, too!
Such fun to shop for treasures with a friend. The felting is a great idea.
Oh what a great shop! I wish I could poke around in the shelf of linens!
What a fun blog...I don't know how I found you but I'm so glad I did...hope you don't mind, but I'm putting you into my blog list! Love all these wonderful finds!

We did have lots of fun last Friday...mostly at my expense. I just can't resist the hats and it makes you laugh a lot! Your felted flowers are adorable...so perfect for your kitchen! One of these days I'll have to jump on the Rednesday band wagon! All cute!

I am with you. Love those resale shops.
I especially liked the photos of the felt arrangements.
Never though of making my own from old wood however. Great idea.
Thanks for stopping by my old red barn. I post more of the photo from that same site on my Outdoor Wednesday post.
Great reds & it looked like a lot of fun !
Blessings,
