How've You Bean?

I wanted to share with you today the other Fiskars stamp set that I purchased.  This set is called Latte Love and again the images were just too cute to pass up.
I created two cards using this set.  One of my favorite treats is a Starbucks latte so it was only natural for me to adore that image.  I used all "coffee" colored paper, added some stitches and finished it off with some fun polka dot ribbon.  I thought it would be a fun card to send to a friend with an enclosed gift card to their favorite coffee house.
I love the little coffee bean border stamp!!
For some added dimension, I stamped the steam on a little piece of cardstock, cut it out, and used pop-dots to raise it off of the card.
For my next card I used one of my favorite color pallets---red, blue, and cream.
I don't usually decorate the inside of my cards, but I loved this sentiment and wanted it to look extra special
Well all this talk of coffee has made me want a cup.  We forgot to tell our puppies, Mabel and Sassy about the time change this weekend and they were up earlier than ever.  A nice cup of warm coffee is just what I need about now.........

Picture of the Week

This week I wanted to share this picture of my husband that I took yesterday.  I have shared in a previous post about his journey with Gastric Bypass surgery.  You can read all about it here.  It has been quite a journey but as of yesterday he has lost 150 lbs!!  He is feeling great--like a whole new man.    I posted a little before picture of him so you could see the progress he has made. I am so proud of him and all of his determination to live a healthy life.
 I love you Alex.

What's the Scoop?

When running errands yesterday, I decided to stop at Joann Fabrics to see if there was anything new.  I thought I would just walk through the stamp isle to check things out.  Oh boy was I delighted to see a whole new display of Fiskars clear stamps.  They were not already on sale which ment I could use my 50% off coupon. HOORAY!!! I stood there for what seemed like hours trying to decided which ones I could not live without.  I finally made my desicion and left with two sets--- the first of which I will share today.  The name of this set is "Cupcakes and More".  Just one look at these cute images and you will see why I just had to have them.
So many possibilities with this set.  Here is just one card that I created with it.
Well I am off to create some more.  Stay tuned for more posts using this set and the other having the theme of my favorite drink---you guessed it---Coffee.  Wait until you see those images--- I know you will "Love it a Latte" :)

You Are My Sunshine

It truly is amazing how a little bit of sunshine can lift your spirits.  We have had sunshine for the past three days here in Pittsburgh--that is somewhat of a small miracle.  I have cracked the windows just a bit and opened the front door welcoming the sunshine to come in and stay awhile.  The sunshine not only lifts my spirts but it also gets me in the mood to dust away the Winter and do a little Spring cleaning.  I love it when the windows shine and everything smells so fresh and clean.  I even borrowed my mom's floor steamer and cleaned all of our hardwood floors.  I teased her when she bought it--telling her she had the cleaning sickness.  I must now admit that little thing is amazing.  My floors have never been so clean.   (hmmm I hope she forgets which one of her daughters borrowed it (heheheh)   With a clean house and all of the Winter decorations carefully put away for another season, I thought it was a good idea to bring a little Spring to our house.  Here are a few of my favorites......
The sunshine has even inspired the creative side of me in this little mini brag book that I created for my etsy shop.....
So thankful for the SUNSHINE today :)
